Today we rejoice with Simeon and Anna as the Saviour of the world is presented in the temple by Mary and Joseph. The supreme 'sacrifice' for sin is brought to the house of God. The Son of God becomes the Lamb of God for the salvation of the world. Grace and mercy are fully present in the infant Jesus. The Child would grow and become an Adult who teaches the world about the love of God. It is a love that conquers sin and death as it imparts forgiveness and life. The cup at the last supper becomes filled with His blood from the cross. May we present ourselves as believers who are ready to forgive and love, as we are forgiven and loved by our Lord. Lord, may Your grace empower me to live as You desire. Amen.
