Lenten Bytes

"Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me" (Mt. 25:40). When Jesus took flesh and became human, the Divine confirmed the dignity of the human. Every human person is to be celebrated, cherished and loved. The implications of this truth is that the name and property of individuals are to be respected (Lv. 19:11-18), and each relationship is meant to be a basis to bring out the best in each other. The Season of Lent invites us to look inside our lives so that we can make a difference in the lives of others. We journey with Jesus into the wilderness so that He can help us to identify and remove any barriers, blind spots or blunders against our fellow brothers and sisters. The path of holiness involves ongoing illumination and conversion. It is to recognise that we are all given time and grace to become the "good and faithful servants" we are called and meant to be. Lord Jesus, may my life give evidence of Your Spirit of love alive in me, and which draws me closer to You and all. Amen.
