"So from that day on, they planned to kill Him" (Jn. 11:53). We see the storm brewing. The dark clouds are beginning to gather, signalling the inclement weather of evil intentions, betrayal and lies. These will all culminate in a crescendo of death on a cross. As we prepare ourselves for Holy Week, let us become more conscious of our sins which led Jesus to the cross. But we need not fear the terror of the darkness. From the cross, Jesus our light has hands ready to embrace us. Look to Him and give thanks. Lord Jesus, may our lives of gratitude be dedicated to the praise of Your name and the celebration of Your saving presence. Amen.
