Easter Bytes

Do we treat others and react to them based on preconceived ideas or labels? Our choice to draw close, or be distant from others, is sometimes made even before we meet them. We see Peter being chastised in today's reading for eating with people who were uncircumcised (Acts. 11:3). However, Peter shares his vision that all food made by God is clean (Acts. 11:9). If this is true of food, and all that God made is good (Gn. 1:31), then how much more are people, the pinnacle of creation, to be also considered without negative slurs. Today, let us pray for the courage to love all people without prejudice. Lord Jesus, may Your Spirit help us to fulfil Your command to love you and others with all our hearts, and rise above any barrier or influence that prevents us from having positive relationships with Your people. Amen.
