The effectiveness of Christianity is not based on how faithful we are to 'attending' Church, or the size of the congregation. The real significance of Christianity is the loving relationship we have with our Lord. If our hearts are not right with God, we will not be able to cope with the pressures and persecutions of life (Jn. 15:19). The lack of a connection with our God (Jn. 15:21) is revealed in various ways. It indicates the ease with which the young and old are 'comfortable' being absent from Church. It leads to the false perception that going to Church is another activity for the week. If we truly love our God, then Church and life take on new meaning. Lord Jesus, may our love for You spur us to praise you in worship, and share Your word with others. Amen.
