Do we take the time in our busy schedule to truly pray for God's blessing on the people in our lives? Praying for others and asking the Lord to bless them is a real sign of love. When we wish others well, or sincerely desire their good and growth, it is then that, as a people of the resurrection, we rise above the culture of death and maliciousness of our hearts against them.

When Tobit celebrated his being blessed with sight, he then graciously pronounced a blessing on those in his circle of love (Tb. 11:9-18). Today as we bless the Lord, let us ask for His blessing on those He has chosen to be in our lives. Loving Lord, I bless You and praise You. May Your blessing fall afresh on those You have brought into my life. Amen.
