The issues concerning crime, violence, youth, poverty, peace and development, all require our personal input. Our prayers, caring for individuals and families, strategies for the common good by the private and public sector, can create ripple effects that will hopefully spread by the grace of God. The 'heart' of God's kingdom is our relationship with each other. Jesus tells us to "put new wine into fresh wine skins" (Mt. 9:17). We are to ask the 'new wine' of the Holy Spirit to fill us and guide our lives. Our daily conversion to kingdom values will shape us into 'new wine skins', and impact our lives and world. Lord Jesus, pour Your Holy Spirit into our lives, and grant that our relationship with You and each other will advance the glory of Your name and the advancement of Your kingdom. Amen
