Romantics see the world through eyes of love. They celebrate each experience as a gift. This brings joy to the heart and peace to the mind. When one romantic finds true love, words are weaved in poetry and song to serenade the other. One can go as far as to say, “You fulfil my dreams, you satisfy my thirst, you complete me.”

Jesus Christ, the ultimate romantic, made us out of love. He created a space in us that only He can satisfy and complete. Although we fill our lives with various encounters, things and experiences, only He can give total satisfaction. Jesus is not only the fulfilment of the law and prophets (Mt. 5:17-19), He is the beginning and completion of all who choose to embrace His saving love. What is our response?

Lord Jesus, through the power of Your Spirit of love, help me to make You my all in all, my sweet surrender, my chosen embrace. Amen.
