The value we place on a person, thing or object will often determine how much effort and energy we pour from ourselves. The amount we spend on our family is far greater than what we give to others. The energy we expend to keep our homes clean and in proper order, may not be equal to the volunteer service we give to other places. The widow placed great value on the temple, the house of God, and gave all she had in the treasury (Lk. 21:4). She is commended by Jesus, as opposed to the others who gave from their surplus. Jesus showed the value He places on each of us by giving His all on the cross for our salvation. How do we show the value we place on Him? Lord Jesus, may Your Spirit help me to give You all aspects of my life for Your glory, and as a sign of the value I have for You. Amen.
