Life without purpose has no meaning. A purpose driven life must have goals and detailed plans on how to achieve those goals. If we do not have these, like a leaf unattached to a tree, we drift with every passing wind, and are often unsatisfied. Life in Christ satisfies all our longings. We are called to follow Jesus, and to use our God-given gifts to ‘fish for people’ (Mt. 4:19). Working for the advancement of God’s kingdom gives us meaning. Eternal life with Him is our goal and applying His word in our lives yields the plan required to achieve that ultimate goal. Lord Jesus, grant me the grace to see that Your call and my positive response yield a purpose driven life of meaning and eternal reward. Amen.
