We know the expression, “Like father, like son.” Traits of the parent are often manifested in the child. We see some evidence of physical characteristics, values, attitude, outlook and mindset. No wonder Jesus said, “To see me is to see the Father” (Jn. 14:9). Today we see a beautiful insight of our Father. Jesus tells us that it is not the will of our heavenly Father that any of us perish (Mt. 18:14). Jesus gives us the image of the shepherd who is happy in finding the lost sheep (Mt. 18:13). Do we reflect this saving love of our Father? Loving Father, You reveal through the mercy of Your Son that none of us be lost. May we rejoice in Your saving grace, and show others that we are Your children by accompanying them back to You. Amen.
