We are not saved by our works, but by the grace of God and our faith in Him (Eph. 2:8-9). But faith without works is dead (Jas. 2:14-26). Jesus makes reference to His works as a sign of His real connection with His Father (Jn. 10:31-42). Faith is married to works. Our faith should be evidenced by our works. If we say we have faith in God who is love, do we work to show love to all? If our faith is in a merciful God, do we work to show mercy to offenders? If we have faith in God who provides, do we work to provide for others? Lord Jesus, by Your works You have revealed Your unity with Your Father. By our faith and works, may we reveal our love for You. Amen.
