God cannot be known unless He reveals Himself. In the Old Testament, Yahweh first took the initiative to reveal Himself to Moses. God then worked through Moses to reveal Himself to the people of Israel. By signs and wonders, the Lord revealed His power and providence that made all the other nations live in awe. When the Israelites strayed, God sent prophets to call them back to Him. Ultimately, God sent His Son so that we may know Him. This revelation of God is ongoing. The Father speaks through the Son, who will then speak through the Spirit (Jn. 16:15). Consequently, the Spirit empowers the Disciples to reveal the true God, as Paul did with the Athenians (Acts 17:23). God who revealed His presence to us, now calls each of us to keep revealing Him to all the people in our lives. May our lives of faith, hope and love reveal our God to others, and inspire them to draw close to Him. Loving Father, You reveal Your presence so that we may know You, love You and serve You. May we show our gratitude for Your love and mercy by using our lives to reveal You to all. Amen.
