The world is not ‘level’ and all is not ‘equal’. Some people are born in wealth while others are in poverty. Some live relatively peaceful lives while others struggle with ongoing war. Some live long lives while others die quickly. Such is the mystery of life.
The massacre of infants in today’s gospel (Mt. 2:13-18), reflects the reality of the many children who are murdered through abortion, by war or died due to illness or other causes. Let us all pray for the peaceful repose of our children who have died, and for healing on their parents.
Lord Jesus, we place all the children who have either been killed, or died from other causes, into Your loving hands. May they enjoy Your perpetual presence, even as we also pray for Your healing and comfort on their parents and families. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
