We are told that we must not judge (Mt. 7:1). Yet this is habitually ignored as so many judge and condemn others. Paul reminds us that we are at risk of being condemned because of the judgement we make (Rom. 2:1-11). Jesus affirms that we need to pay attention to God’s love and let Him be the judge (Lk. 11:42). Today, resist the temptation to be a judge. Instead, remember the mercy you receive and choose to be merciful with all people.
Lord Jesus, You are not only our just Judge but You are also our merciful Saviour. May we never forget Your mercy, but in gratitude, become sources of mercy for everyone. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
