Every generation has the opportunity to either grow in the grace and mercy of God, or be “charged with the blood of the prophets” (Lk. 11:47-51). This underlines the importance of parents, family, friends and the Church to be living witnesses of the Lord and pass on the faith from one generation to the next. However, at the end of the day, each individual is responsible for one’s actions that will either help to draw close to God or remain distant.
Lord Jesus, You redeem us by Your blood and, through it, obtain pardon for those who have either spilled blood or have rejected Your presence in others. May every individual and each generation seek Your loving face and strive to advance Your eternal kingdom. Amen.
