“Open my eyes Lord, I want to see Jesus. To reach out and touch Him, and tell Him I love Him.” The more we train our eyes and choose to see the world through the eyes of our loving God who made everything, the more we will have reason to be better stewards.
Since everything that God creates is pronounced “good’, then seeing and appreciating all that exists is one way to pay attention to the Lord’s visitation (Lk. 19:41-44). By seeing Him in all people and our environment, we are moved to care for all which leads to peace.
Touch our eyes Lord, and help us to see You. May the sight of You in each other and the insight of Your goodness in all creation, spur us to be loving stewards of care. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
