One way of dealing with stress is to anticipate or visualize scenarios before they happen, in order to have an action plan to cope. However, there are times when the projected event does not readily offer practical solutions. What do we do then?
Jesus gives us the key when we find ourselves in a room of darkness resulting from our unanswered questions. He tells us that when we hear of various forms of destruction, we must not be afraid (Lk. 21:5-11). Trusting in God is our ultimate coping strategy.
Lord Jesus, Yours is the power and the glory. In You we live, and from You we receive grace and strength to face and overcome the many challenges of life. May we who trust in Your saving power, always experience peace in the ‘eye of the storms’ that surface. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
