Do we listen to the Lord selectively or wholistically? Are we open to the fulness of His word in good times and in bad? The Lord has promised to be with us always. Therefore His word of strength, comfort, peace, assurance and love, is with us at every step in life’s journey.
He has promised to return at an hour we do not expect (Lk. 12:40). Since the Lord fulfils His promises, then we can take Him at His word. Let use the gift of time we have been given to attune our ears to His voice, set our minds on heavenly things and walk in His ways.
Lord Jesus, as we anticipate Your return, may our stewardship of time be evidenced by our desire to listen and learn from You, so that we may be ready to greet You. Amen.
