When you are healthy and your mind is sound, God knows your heart. When your health fails and you suffer from dementia, God knows your heart. When you are happy and full of energy, God knows your heart. When sadness sets in and your energy is sapped, God knows your heart. When success comes your way and life is good, God knows your heart. When failure is experienced and life is a challenge, God knows your heart.
Every believer who trusts in the Lord comes to appreciate the words of Jesus, “God knows your heart” (Lk. 16:15). We believe that through the ‘ups’ and ‘downs’ in life, our loving God looks beyond the exterior and sees the true state of a heart that loves Him in return, that strives to please Him despite our sins, and struggles against possessions to possess Him alone. Today, love the Lord with all Your heart, and live in peace and joy.
Lord Jesus, take my heart, it is Yours. Accept my life and love, and let them glorify You at all times. Strengthen my resolve to please You by empowering me to walk in Your ways. Amen.
