Experience shows that the ‘vaccine’ to cure loneliness, anxiety, mild depression, self-pity and skewed thoughts, is to embrace a spirituality of Stewardship. We are told, “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have..” These please our God (Heb. 13:16).
The sharing of our time, talent and treasure not only frees us from self-absorption, but also provides opportunities to participate in the nature of our God, who is the epitome of good and selflessness. Living as good Stewards leads to health for self and all in our world.
Loving Father, You have blessed us, so that we can bless others as a sign of our gratitude. May our lives of Stewardship yield good health to all and be pleasing in Your sight. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
