How well do you love? If your eternal salvation or damnation is based on the answer you give, then would the answer be in your favour? Jesus makes it clear that it is not enough to say we love family, friends and neighbours (Mt. 5:43-48). The measure of real love is loving our enemies and those who make life difficult. Such love imitates God’s love and leads to life.
Loving Lord, like the sun and rain, You pour Your love on friend and foe. Teach us how to follow Your example, so that our way of love will lead to eternal life. Amen.
