When we train our eyes to see the presence of the Lord in every circumstance of life, and habitually attune our ears to His voice to guide us in our journey, it is then that we are blessed (Mt. 13:16-17).
We give thanks for the gifts of seeing and hearing. But greater joy comes from our faith to see our Lord in the calm and storm, and hear Him say, "I love you." To trust in His saving power at all times, is to know real joy.
Lord Jesus, may we never fail to gaze on the beauty of Your face, and be consumed by the wonder of Your love. May the melodious sound of Your voice touch our ears, minds and hearts, so that Your words may lead us into eternal life. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
