If we believe that “for God all things are possible” (Mt. 19:26), then we will have no need to fear, but will always have hope in any situation of life. God provided food and drink in the desert as the people journeyed from Egypt. He parted the Red Sea to allow for their safety.
Jesus imitated the work of His Father as He fed the crowd in the midst of scarcity, and later ‘parted’ the rock to rise from the dead.
What are the current situations in our lives that we label as impossible? Do we believe that the power of God is mightier than our thoughts, scenarios or conclusions? I never thought I could face a day without Mom, but God’s grace has kept Dad and me buoyant. Trusting in the Lord means that we have the confident faith that the miracles and wonders He works in the lives of others will also be done in ours.
Trust in the Lord at all times, and do not lean according to your understanding (Prov. 3:5).
Loving Father, time after time, You have revealed that You are a mighty God; a saving God, a God who lovingly provides and mercifully rescues us from every impossible situation or sin. May our faith in You give us the courage we need to journey through life. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
