Anyone who seeks employment will know the joy of getting the job. Initially it proves to be exciting, but over time it gets repetitive and demanding, producing mixed emotions along the way. The salary to pay our bills and our sense of purpose make us plod on. To be selected by the Lord to be a labourer in His vineyard (Mt. 20:1-16) is a high honour, one not to be taken for granted. Our best results will be achieved when we neither compare ourselves with others nor seek earthly rewards. Work to make God happy😊. Lord Jesus, we thank You for choosing us to be Your Disciples. You appoint us as workers in Your Kingdom, not because we are worthy, but because You love us. May our work give You honour, our efforts win others to You, and our lives spent in pleasing You. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
