The words of Jesus, “Come to me” (Mt. 11:28) provide such comfort, that they should ring in our ears every day of our lives. Life expressed through people and experiences can leave us bewildered, drained and even feeling alone.

But the Lord is by our side. When we are confused, tired or lonely, the Lord tells us to look no further than His arms and presence. His open invitation to come to Him, gives us the real assurance that “every little thing will be alright”.

Lord Jesus, You always welcome us, and never refuse or abandon us. May we consciously realise the immense source of comfort and strength that You are, and draw close to You. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
