In the context of evangelization, we are sowers who sow the seed of the gospel. Ours is the task to scatter near and far, in every area and situation of life (Mt. 13:1-9), the seeds that hopefully will bear the fruits of faith, hope and love. But we do not waste time looking for results. We plant, and then we trust the Spirit to allow the seeds to sprout and bear fruit in the Spirit’s time and the openness of individuals.
Lord Jesus, You empower us to be sowers for Your kingdom. May we joyfully do all that we can to sow the seeds that You give us, and make room for the Spirit to do His work. Amen.
