The Disciples recognised the Lord in the breaking of bread and in His explanation of the law and prophets (Lk. 24:35-48). We are the inheritors of this liturgical tradition. What begun with the Disciples, continued throughout the early Church, and is present today.
The good news concerning Jesus must be heard and passed on from one generation to the next. Our ancestors gave witness to the Lord for our edification. Today, how are we as believers ensuring that the next generation see the Lord in His Word and Sacrament?
Lord Jesus, You reveal Yourself to us when we gather in Your name to ponder Your Word and feed on Your Body and Blood. Help us to pass on Your good news to others. Amen.
