On Good Friday, the Son of Man is lifted up on the cross, “so that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life“ (Jn. 3:15). Now during the Easter Season, we lift up the Lord with our voices of praise and thanksgiving, celebrating His resurrection and the life now promised to all who follow Him. Believers who habitually lift up the name of the Lord can testify how He raises our minds and hearts from doldrum and despair, to joy and hope. Lift Him up today.
‘Lord we lift your name on high. Lord we long to sing Your praises. We are glad that You are in our lives. Lord we are glad that You came to save us.’ Accept our prayer of praise. Grant that as we lift You up today, Your blessings will fall on us, and the hope that Your resurrection inspires will motivate us to walk with You through the gates of paradise. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
