How do we react when we hear something that disturbs us? Do we imitate Peter and stay with the Lord as we trust Him to guide us? Or do we become part of the crowd and walk away in anger and spread hate? The gospel today (Jn. 6:60-69) forces us to face and answer the aforementioned question. In the end, it is the quality of our faith and love that matters.
Lord Jesus, Your word at times comforts us, and at other times disturbs us. May we choose to remain steadfast in faith at all times, as we strive to be sources of love by gathering with You and drawing others into Your eternal kingdom. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
