Our Lord simultaneously comforts and challenges us. He tells us that He came to save the world, and in the same breath, He tells us that those who reject His words are condemned by them (Jn. 12:44-50). The majority of believers love the Lord. But those who embrace and truly live by His word are fewer. Let us use the gift of time to conform to His word.
Lord Jesus, even as You warn us to conform our minds, hearts and lives to Your word, You still patiently bathe us with grace and mercy because You love us. May we choose to seek Your voice, to listen to Your word, and become Disciples in whom You are pleased. Amen.
