Holy Week Bytes

Intimacy with the Lord is no guarantee we will not sin against Him. The Disciples walked and ate with the Lord, but Judas betrayed Him, Peter denied Him (Jn. 13:21-33, 36-38) and the rest ran away when Jesus was arrested in the garden by the Officials.

We who walk daily with the Lord must always be on guard, because being in His presence does not remove our free will. He knows how weak we are, that is why this Holy Week sees His sacrifice for our sins. There is only one response: daily thank the Lord.

Lord Jesus, You know our weakness and selfishness, yet You chose to give Your life on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. May we thank You all the days of our lives. Amen.

Blessings,

Fr. Howie
