The Passover meal was an annual event that Jesus and Jews used to celebrate the power of God to liberate and save (Mt. 26:17-19). Freedom from slavery in Egypt and life spared due to the sprinkled blood on doorposts, all foreshadow the meaning of the crucifixion of Jesus to save us from sin and death. Ponder our Lord’s sacrifice, and give Him thanks.
Lord Jesus, You are the spotless Lamb who was slaughtered so that we can be freed from our sins and saved from death. May our gratitude result in our communion with You and all. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
