The faintest light will illuminate through any blanket of darkness. But there will always be a conflict between the two. Every individual has the capacity to be light or darkness, to bring life or death. This is why we need the Spirit to guide us in the ways of love.
It was love for us that prompted the Lord to become human in order to save us. His light shone, but the darkness desired His death (Jn. 11:45-56). Happily, His light of life ripped the darkness of the tomb. Today, walk in His light and let love shine for all.
Lord Jesus, we thank and praise You for being our Light that has overcome the darkness of sin and death. Help us to radiate Your love by choosing to be lights for Your glory. Amen.
Blessings,
Fr. Howie
